Biographical Sketch
Dr.
Carolina Yahne trains clinicians in Motivational
Interviewing in both English and Spanish, and
consistently earns excellent instructor ratings averaging 95% from her
trainees.
The originator of Motivational Interviewing, William R. Miller, has
written that she is "one of the finest trainers I have ever known".
Her undergraduate degree, with distinction, is from the
University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her doctorate in Counseling
Psychology is from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
She is Past President of the New Mexico
Psychological
Association, and the recipient of the Heiser Award for Advocacy from
the American Psychological Association. With an international
group of colleagues, she founded the Motivational Interviewing Network
of Trainers (MINT).
